Studio Policies

Class Dress Code: A dress code is provided on our website at It is the responsibility of each parent to ensure that his or her child is properly dressed and groomed for class. Proper dance attire, footwear and appropriate grooming are required to be admitted to class. Students should arrive at the studio dressed and ready for their classes.

Proper Conduct:

  • Running, screaming or horseplay is not allowed anywhere in the studio. NO GUM is allowed.
  • No one is allowed inside the dance rooms unless an instructor is present.
  • Parents are required to supervise small children at all times and restrict unnecessary tinkering with plants, trophies, wall hangings, merchandise, or student's personal belongings.
  • Food and drinks are only allowed outside studio C (in lobby)
  • An adult must accompany all children under the age 6 in the restroom.
  • Students must bring all dance bags and shoes in with them into the studio to keep the lobby areas clear.

Recital Costumes: A 50% costume deposit is due October 1st. The remaining balance is due December 1st. All costume fee's will automatically be deducted from the card we have on file. Costume fees will be posted on in the studio prior to your deposit. Students will be measured in November for the costumes they will wear at our annual recital. We will only order costumes for those students whose costumes have been paid.

  • A $10 fee per costume will be accessed for students who fail to pay balance by December 1st.
  • Costume fees are non-refundable after December 1st.
  • Students who register after December 1st will have until January 31st to pay their costumes in full. The front desk does not have a designated charge day for these students. It is the responsibility of the parent/account holder to contact the front desk with their payment.

Attendance: Regular attendance is encouraged for all students.

  • Students are allowed 2 weeks to attend a make up class for missed class due to illness only during the months of August - January. No make ups will be allowed after January 31st due to recital preparation.
  • Class make-up is not permitted when the studio is closed due to holidays. Please refer to our annual event calendar on our website
  • Dance instructors reserve the right to deny a student's participation in our annual recital if a student misses more than 4 classes between January and May.

Drop Off/Pick Up: Students should be dropped off and picked up within 15 minutes of their class start and finish time. It is unacceptable to leave your child unattended longer than 15-minutes following the end of their dance class. It is preferred that parents with students under the age of 7 remain at the studio during classes. The studio is not responsible for providing before and after class care for students. The studio closes 15 minutes following the end of the last class of the day. Any student not picked up at this time will be asked to wait for their parent/legal guardian outside. At this time the studio doors will be locked and there will be adult supervision outside the studio, with a $5 fee per 5 minutes after the studio is closed, which will be charged to your account.

Waiver: Parents and legal guardians waive their right and the right of their minor children and/or student to any legal action for any injury sustained on school property resulting from normal dance activity or any other activity conducted by the individual before, during or after class time.

Class Withdrawal: Withdrawal of any class must be made in writing to the front desk before the 8th of the month in order to not be charged for the following month. There is no partial refund for dropping during the middle of the month. There is no refund for missed classes. Those that paid the year in full will receive a partial refund. (Costume refund requests must be submitted in writing before Dec 1st. After this date all costumes are non-refundable). Students wishing to "make-up" a missed class must consult with the front desk and make arrangements for attendance within two weeks following the absence.

Communication: The majority of communication between the studio and parents/dancers is done by email. It is the parent's/dancer's responsibility to inform the front desk of any email changes. Please check your email on a regular basis, at least once a week, to stay informed of pertinent information. Allow 24 hours for response to voice messages and/or email correspondence. Voice messages or email received over the weekend or during a studio holiday will be answered the first day the studio reopens. Lost & Found: Any unclaimed items will be donated to a local charity bi-monthly. Parents of all students, regardless of age, are asked to check their child's belongings before leaving the studio. Clermont Academy of Dance is not responsible for any personal effects that may be lost, stolen or left at the studio or any studio event or function.

Tuition Guidelines & Options

Registration Fee: A yearly non-refundable registration fee is due at the time of registration. The registration fee is for the purpose of securing your child's place in class and membership set up. The fee is $40 for the 1st family member and $25 for the second and $65 for families of 3 or more.

Tuition: Tuition is calculated on a yearly, NOT monthly, basis. It is due at the time of registration. It is the parent's responsibility to contact the front desk if debit/credit card information changes. Checks will not be accepted for installment payments

  • With Auto Pay monies are automatically deducted from your Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover or Debit card.
  • If payment cannot be received via debit or credit card within 30days, lessons will be suspended.
  • We do not send out monthly statements. Tuition is non-refundable.
  • Tuition is NOT waived if a child is absent. Should a student suffer a serious extended injury or illness for 30 or more days, tuition will be waived for missed time with a doctor's note.

Tuition in FULL

  • We accept payment in the form of cash, check and credit/debit card when paying the year in full.
  • If tuition is paid IN FULL at time of registration a 5% discount will be given if paid in the form of cash, check, or credit/debit card.
  • The 5% discount will be revoked for all NSF checks in addition a $25 NSF fee will be charged.

10-Month Installment Plan

  • Annual tuition divided into 10-monthly installments. With this method parents have the option of paying tuition in 10 monthly installments with the first installment made in August and the final monthly installment is due in May.
  • Funds will be withdrawn on the 8th of each month from your card on file.

Multiple Class Discount: We discount tuition for students enrolled in 2 or more classes per week. This discount has already been calculated and is reflected in the tuition fees. IMPORTANT: Tuition fees and discounts are figured per child, not as a combination of two or more students' hours.

Family Discount: Families with 2 more children enrolled in dance class will receive a $5 discount off the monthly Tuition Fee for each additional child enrolled in dance class after the first.
